Meeting evolving marketing needs with diversity and inclusion at the forefront
The challenge
Specialist talent is critical for executing best-in-class marketing strategies, but as business demands change throughout the year, so do headcount budgets. Microsoft’s marketing department needs flexibility to scale the team up and down on a dime, while staying true to its DEI commitments.

The Rosies
All kinds of marketing and creative specialists, from social media managers to copywriters, along with Flexy Talent that powers marketing, like data analysts and project managers.
The deets
Microsoft’s Global Demand Center (GDC) has long relied on consultants for burst capacity and skill infusion.
As the sales and marketing engine for both B2B and B2C at Microsoft, GDC has a solid playbook for engaging customers throughout their lifecycle with ebooks, whitepapers, webinars, social campaigns, advertising, events and more. But each new product launch, campaign, and customer segment requires marketing and creative specialists to help execute that playbook.
Enter We Are Rosie.
By supplying best-of-the-best talent where and when they’re needed, we help GDC’s hiring managers run their world-class marketing programs efficiently. Plus, our inclusive community makes it easy for GDC to meet (and even exceed) corporate diversity targets.
Since the launch of our partnership in 2021, more than 52 Rosies have worked across 14 teams at GDC, including two scribes who support hiring managers with disabilities.

World-class marketing specialists to execute world-class marketing strategies
Ability to shapeshift talent with changing business needs and budgets
Diversity and inclusion as standard
“Our Rosie talent is the best. If I were cutting budgets, I would take one Rosie over two other consultants.”
