Accounting Coordinator

  • This is a part-time position, 20 – 30 hours per week, that can work from anywhere within the United States and will report directly to the Accounting & Finance Manager (Lead).

Hourly Rate: $25/hour

The Missing Link

The Accounting Coordinator supports the efficient operation of the We Are Rosie Finance Department by assisting with a wide range of accounting and finance functions. The position reports to the Accounting & Finance Manager (Lead).

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepares, processes, and enters customer invoices and customer statements to ensure prompt payment.
  • Receives and processes vendor invoices and codes to the correct budget department.  Assists in determining dates for invoices to be paid.
  • Supports the Accounting & Finance Lead in the monthly closing process.
  • Process credit card, bank and other third-party payor transactions.
  • Maintains accurate and complete records, including reports, ledgers, journals, invoices, and receipts.
  • Receives and processes all mail sent to WRR including checks from clients and other miscellaneous documents.
  • Assists internal WRR team members, customers, and vendors with billing and other accounting questions.
  • Assist with miscellaneous responsibilities as assigned by team lead including but not limited to filing, mailing, organizing and other assigned job-related duties to assist the accounting team.
  • Interact professionally with the internal team and external partners as needed.

Requirements

  • Previous Accounting, Billing, A/R, A/P, or other accounting/finance/billing experience required.
  • Must have an intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel and Word).
  • Skill in the use of personal computers, database management and related software applications.
  • Proven ability to organize and prioritize and to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to grasp new tasks quickly.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Requires a high degree of professional character and ethical standards in the performance of duties.
  • Willing to identify processes within the company that can/should be improved upon and take action to solve them.
  • Ability to work independently and be proactive in a high-growth, start-up environment.
  • Enjoys working collaboratively across departments and understanding how the business works to better anticipate company needs.
